UU Library jigsaw

Postby Pat » Thu Dec 28, 2017 10:09 pm

Anyone have one of these? The pieces are supplied in a plastic bag which looks resealable - but I can't get if open. The bag starts to stretch and deform before the seal will undo.

I'd like to preserve the bag - the style of the box means storing loose pieces in it could be a bit risky!
My next project is a book in which I explore the influence of the music of Beyonce on the writings of J R R Tolkien. It's called "It you write it, you have to put a ring in it"

I did attempt to open for resealing then decided there were two sections and cut the first across only to discover the second didn't work.
I am now using the large clear bags that the stamp sheets are supplied in; each bag for a different colour of piece.

You can get very large ziplock bags that sound like they'd be the best (back when I was in the lab I could nick them from work as we got our 1.7mL eppy tubes in them in bags of 1000). Or you could, y'know, buy one if you don't want to go the scrounge route :clown: :clown:

The bag definitely isn't resealable, i'm just leaing the thing on the kitchen table until i have it assembled, which may take a few weeks

The image on the box is totally inadequate for its purpose, to assist in completing the jigsaw.
I suspect that the Emporium knew this and is why you can buy separately a large print of the scene.

Still working on mine; I have completed the Librarian, the desk and the section above him to the top of the jigsaw, plus other small sections that are easily recognisable.
It is in my study and my rule is that I must find and fit a piece on entering the room and before sitting at the computer and another before I leave the room.
Can get damn annoying if I am only popping in to get my pen or wallet. Record, so far, is 8 minutes to get my wallet.

I've met you, if your money is on pat, did you use a ladder?
