can we clear a few things up.....please

hi guys hope ur all doing ok,no kidneys on eBay to pay for LBEs,just wanted to ask,how can you tell if ur stamps are gummed or un-gummed,ive got 4 assisin stapms alltogerther and 2 have a textured backing and 2 have a plain back(and were sent,in black folded card?) and also what the hell is a skunk stamp?? either theres a desighn ive missed(which is unlikely) or theres smelly stamps.

The untextured backs will be the un-gummed stamps

As for the skunk stamp, Bernard gives a very good description in another thread... damned if I can remember which one though, soory

well generally gummed stamps have rough back and ungummed smooth and yes the skunk stamps are smelly check out the comp thread for more details on how to get one.

ahhh i see,well thats great,its the cabbage green stamp that smells then,i seem to recall stanley in going postal did flavoured ones...or did i dream it.*



*actually thats quite a good idea,like flavoured stamps for special occastions,think of all the Ank-morpork flavours we are all missing out on.

Sorry to sound thick (and I seem to do that a lot on here!) but I'm still a bit confused about the whole gummed/ungummed thing!! All of the Assassins stamps I've got so far have the same texture on the back as the tower of art ($1) stamps. They don't look as shiny as the normal stamps and if you look close then you can see a kind of pattern of lots of dots. Does this mean they're all ungummed or gummed and are the Tower of Art stamps ungummed or gummed??? Confused!!

If they feel the same as the TOA they are gummed.
